Retail centre to serve JGE residents


Jumeirah Golf Estates (JGE) announced a new project that will provide shopping and dining amenities to residents of the community. Due to open in September next year, the 45,000-sq-ft retail centre will be situated on the edge of the Wildflower development. The first retail destination to open in the community will feature a new-concept grocery store, restaurant and cafe. JGE is home to more than 700 families.
The project is being developed by DAR Properties and the construction contract has been awarded to City Diamond Contracting.

The operations will be managed by Maybury, which has stores in Dubai Marina and Abu Dhabi, and offers a more lifestyle-oriented shopping experience for customers. “Adding to the world class facilities already on offer at JGE, the retail centre will prove to be a valuable addition to the already thriving community,” said Yousuf Kazim, CEO of JGE. The new project is part of phase one of the JGE’s development and follows the recent launch of the AlandaIus, a collection of 674 affordable luxury apartments and 54 town houses. JGE is also developing the Community Center, which is part of the AlandaIus collection. The Community Center will include retail, hospitality and food and beverage outlets.
